Tom Brady Reveals How He Views Team Leadership

Tom Brady won six Super Bowl titles with the New England Patriots and a seventh with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

During a recent episode of Impaulsive, Logan Paul took the opportunity to praise Brady for his leadership — especially following his leaked conversation with Antonio Brown.

“You’re a great leader,” Paul told Brady. “I think not a lot of people have the capacity to work well with others like you. The idea of being on a team sport and having to rely on everyone else to do their jobs it takes a lot of trust in people.

“Leadership comes from the top down. I think these guys were definitely lucky to have you at the helm, guiding that ship.”

Before Logan could ask Brady about the leadership in the Patriots locker room, he spoke about what being a leader means to him.

“I always define leadership as, do you care about your teammates or coworkers, and do you care what we’re trying to accomplish?” Brady said. “That to me is great leadership. And there’s a lot of people that go about those in different ways.”

Brady continued: “Some people are more vocal. Some people are more action-oriented. But, I think whether it’s verbal or whether it’s action, it will still reflect upon those two goals.

“But if it’s about me, my glorification or my money or my agenda, there’s not a caring element to the people you are working with. And it’s also not an element about how we are doing this as a team, because football is a team sport. I didn’t choose an individual sport. … I needed to be the example.”
