Celtics’ Game 2 Loss Doesn’t Bode Well For Paul Pierce

Paul Pierce was so convinced the Boston Celtics would bounce back from their Game 1 loss to the New York Knicks to take Game 2 that he made an extremely outlandish remark on FS1’s “Speak” that, well, is coming back to bite him.

“If the Celtics lose Game 2 at home, I promise you, I’m walking here tomorrow,” Pierce said. “I’m walking here, 15 miles. I’m walking here.”

When Pierce got pushback from fellow hosts Joy Taylor and Keyshawn Johnson, he doubled down and added more criteria to his walk.

“In my robe, no shoes on, bare feet,” Pierce said. “If the Celtics lose (Game 2). I’m walking. I’m telling you right now.

“I’ll guarantee this one. Put the house on this game. No shot we losing. No chance. You got a better chance at walking out of this studio and seeing a dinosaur than the Celtics losing. “

Bad news for Pierce. The Celtics dropped a 91-90 decision at TD Garden on Wednesday night and trail the Knicks 2-0 in the series.

The 2008 NBA champion posted a map of the walk from his home to the studio with a couple of vomiting emojis on his social media account.

Time will tell if Pierce will get up at 3 a.m. ET as he claimed to make the 20.2-mile trek — on foot.
