Are You Queen’s Park’s Glass Act?

0 21

IS your glass half full, or half empty?

Whatever the answer – we’re halfway through our search for the southside’s GLASS act.

We’re asking every class from our partner schools to design a milkshake with our neighbours at Buck’s on Cathcart Road.

 – but the southside spot is the only place where you can take your pick from 50 hot sauces selected from around the world.

To quench your thirst – or cool that spice – a specially crafted milkshake dreamt up by one lucky local school pupil will be added to the menu.

Previously, Jude McLaughlin of St Fillan’s Primary School proved to be cream of the crop and created the ideal accompaniment to the restaurant’s famous food.

Our panel – including Queen’s Park players, staff and representatives from Buck’s Bar will take a straw poll of opinion to decide who is flavour of the month and crowned the winner.

They will receive a Spiders goodie bag and visit Buck’s kitchen to create the first-ever glass of their drink which will also appear on the iconic restaurant menu.

Not only that, the winner’s family will be treated to a meal to taste the creamy concoction and the winning pupil’s class teacher will also receive a meal voucher for the rock ‘n’ roll chicken restaurant.

All entries should include a milkshake name and ingredients, as well as the pupil’s name, age, school and class teacher.

Entry via email to  or handed in to Queen’s Park’s offices, JB McAlpine Pavilion, The city Stadium, Letherby Drive, Mount Florida, G42 9BA.

To download an entry form, click HERE – but you’ll need to get a MOO-ve on.

Closing date for the udderly brilliant competition will be Friday 23rd May at 5pm.
