Not Marcus: Man Utd plan to offload another star for £34m, he's scored 7 times in 2025 - report
Manchester United are likely to make several signings during the summer transfer window.
A spending spree could coincide with multiple exits. Antony and Marcus Rashford could be among those heading for the exit door.
According to Spanish outlet Eldesmarque, Real Betis are keen on re-signing Antony on loan next season.
The La Liga outfit are prepared to pay his entire wages to secure a temporary agreement.
However, a move could depend on the Red Devils not receiving any permanent bids for the attacker.
United are prepared to sanction Antony’s sale for at least £34 million this summer. If there are no suitable bids, Betis could retain his services on a season-long loan.
Antony has ruled out a move to another Premier League club.
United more likely to offload Antony on a permanent deal
Antony fell out-of-favour under former manager Erik ten Hag, and his situation did not improve after Ruben Amorim took over as the new head coach.
The Brazilian was allowed to join Betis on loan in January. He has been brilliant for the Spanish club, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 20 appearances.
The 25-year-old’s form has caught the eye of Spanish giants Atletico Madrid. There is a good possibility that Diego Simeone’s side will make an approach, considering his success at Betis.
The Red Devils made a huge outlay of £85m for his services three years ago. A sale for around £32.52m would help them avoid a loss in their financial books this summer.
United could prefer to offload him before the financial year ends on June 30. If Atletico or any other club don’t meet their demands, Betis could retain his services on loan.
