0 0

Congratulations to goalkeeper Millie Powell who was named the 2024-25 Royal Wootton Bassett Town Women's First Team Supporters' Player of the Year!

Powell was presented with the prize following Sunday's 1-1 draw against Stockwood Wanderers in the team's final match of the South West Regional Women's Football League Division One North campaign.

The 'keeper has enjoyed another excellent season. Appearing 26 times in all competitions while missing just two cup fixtures, she kept eight clean sheets and made countless important saves throughout the year. Powell also scored her first goal in Bassett colours, netting in an outfield appearance as a substitute in the Wiltshire County Cup victory against Staverton Rangers.

The award adds to the Manager's and Players' Player of the Year double that Powell achieved in her debut season with Bassett in 2021-22.

The remaining end of season prizes for the Women's First Team will be handed out at their presentation on Friday 13 June, details of which will be announced in due course.
