Even the West Ham manager wants Tottenham to reach Europa League final
Even West Ham United’s manager, Graham Potter, wants Tottenham to qualify for the Europa League final – and his comments might anger some Hammers fans.
Tottenham Hotspur have had a horrid 2024/25 season – a season that has the Lilywhites sitting in 16th in the league table, with only just one point separating them from 17th-placed West Ham United.
As it stands, Ange Postecoglou is on course to become Tottenham’s worst-ever manager in recent history.
The Australian boss is well on his way to finishing the lowest of any Spurs manager in the League, while also being on track to have the most defeats in a single Premier League season.
The pressure has been piling up, and reports have been doing the rounds that Postecoglou’s Spurs future has been all but confirmed, with the Australian manager expected to depart this summer, even if he brings about silverware.

Graham Potter shows support for Ange Postecoglou before Tottenham vs West Ham clash
This weekend, Spurs are set to face West Ham United, who themselves have struggled for consistency, with the Hammers hovering just above the relegation zone.
The appointment of Graham Potter, which was meant to spark the East London club to life, has not gone to plan, as results continue to falter.
The English manager, though, has shown some sympathy for Postecoglou, stating that he would want the Australian manager to deliver silverware to N17, thus ending their over-decade wait for a trophy.
As relayed by The Express, Potter said after Spurs’ success: “They have had a tough season. I am pretty sure if you speak to Ange Postecoglou, injuries, young players, the double competition have had an impact. In this league, nothing is forgiven. They have done well in Europe and hopefully they can finish the job and reach the final.”
Spurs must stay alert in second leg against Bodo/Glimt
A return leg to Bodo/Glimt still awaits Spurs, and with the Lilywhites having just a two-goal advantage, anything can still happen.
The Glimt players have spoken ahead of the second-leg clash against Spurs in the Europa League, expressing confidence in their ability to turn the tie around, with their players highlighting Tottenham’s pressing as a weakness they are looking to exploit.
Spurs would need to stay switched on, as in Europe nothing is given – a calm, assured and professional display would be needed once more if Tottenham are to play in the finals.
