Tottenham fans demand Daniel Levy sells the club after transfer revelation

0 0

With fresh reports claiming that Tottenham may need to sell before they can buy this summer, Spurs fans have been left frustrated, with many renewing their calls for Daniel Levy to sell the club and move on.

Tottenham Hotspur are widely regarded as one of the richest football clubs in the world, with the Lilywhites sitting eighth on Forbes’ list of the most valuable football teams.

Much of this success comes from Tottenham’s commercial strength, both on and off the pitch. And while Daniel Levy gets plenty of stick – rightly so – for how he’s handled things on the footballing side, there’s no denying he’s played a big part in keeping the club financially afloat.

Still, the picture on the pitch tells a different story entirely. Tottenham’s performances have continued to nosedive, and a side that once battled regularly for a place in the Champions League now finds itself sitting 16th in the table.

Daniel Levy under fire as Tottenham fans rage over transfer report

With the summer window fast approaching, the feeling around Tottenham Hotspur is that sweeping changes are needed across the squad, meaning they’ll need to dip into the market.

However, a new report suggests that Spurs may need to sell before they can buy this summer, despite the fact that the club could theoretically spend over £200 million without falling foul of profit and sustainability rules.

The report adds that unless ENIC inject fresh capital into the club, Spurs could be in for a tricky summer of dealing – one that might have serious consequences for the man in the dugout, whether that’s Ange Postecoglou or someone else.

That news has gone down badly with supporters. Many have taken to social media to voice their anger and demand change at the very top.

One fan didn’t hold back: “Same shit, every year ???? time for Levy to sell and leave.” Another added: “And who can we even sell for any decent amount of money? Will only be Romero. Next season doesn’t look promising.”

The concern runs deep. One supporter fumed: “Even non-league clubs spend more than Spurs do!! Why are Spurs called a BIG CLUB?! We haven’t won a league title since way before I was born & I’m almost 50. We’ve won one trophy under ENIC/Levy!! We should be called non-league.”

Another comment summed up the mood: “Why do the Spurs have the only owners that won’t invest more money into the club? They’ve turned the football club into a piggy bank for their real estate projects. This is not ok.”

Another supporter added: “Lol we’re getting relegated next season,” while another said: “I’ll never forget Spurs making it to the UCL final and then instead of building upon that and improving the squad, they added ZERO players in the summer.  Ultimately guys, none of it matters. The owners don’t care about success, they’re making their money.”

Spurs fans grow louder in calls for Levy and ENIC to sell

Tottenham fans have made their stance clear all season long, with visible protests inside the stadium and marches outside it.

Plenty of Tottenham supporters have demanded that Daniel Levy and ENIC walk away from the club, with fears that the worst is yet to come under an ownership that has shown no signs of real ambition to take Spurs back to the top.

This is a critical summer. Tottenham can’t afford another failed rebuild, and if these latest reports are anything to go by, the early signs are deeply concerning.
