London rivals confident star player will not end up at Tottenham this summer
Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a raid on their London rivals for an England international, but a fresh update has suggested that the transfer may be unlikely to happen this summer.
While there has been a lot said and written about Spurs’ defensive woes, the Lilywhites have also been let down by their forward line for much of this season.
There is no doubt that the club will want to add more firepower to their attack this summer, and it emerged a couple of days ago that they were eyeing a sensational move for an England international.
It was reported that Tottenham had made contact over signing Jarrod Bowen after learning that the winger has doubts about staying at West Ham.
West Ham’s feelings about Bowen’s future revealed
A report in The Guardian has now said that there might be a mass exodus from the London Stadium this summer since the Hammers need to sell before they can make additions.
However, the report claims that Bowen is not one of the players expected to leave the club, with West Ham thought to be confident that their captain will stay put.
Instead, Graham Potter’s men see Mohammed Kudus as the preferred big-money sale to boost their coffers, with the Ghana international attracting interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.
However, the publication explains that there are doubts over whether Kudus would be interested in moving to Saudi Arabia, thus raising a question mark over the East London club’s summer transfer plans.
Will Tottenham be tempted to test the waters for Jarrod Bowen?
We know that Daniel Levy likes to put in offers to take advantage of clubs who are in a tight financial situation and the Spurs chairman may repeat the trick this summer by launching an offer for Bowen.
However, it is extremely unlikely that West Ham will consider selling the winger to Tottenham Hotspur as the sale will certainly not go down well with the club’s fan base.
This transfer appears extremely unlikely this summer and Spurs may have to turn their attention to other alternatives.
