Chris Sutton reveals what Ange Postecoglou will not do in Liverpool vs Tottenham
Chris Sutton has predicted the result of Tottenham’s clash against Liverpool on Sunday and has offered his opinion on the argument that Spurs should name a strong team to avoid losing confidence ahead of the big semifinal at Bodo/Glimt.
The Reds are massive favourites on Sunday, with many pundits expecting Liverpool to emerge comfortable winners at Anfield.
One can understand why that is the case as Liverpool will be extremely motivated to get the job done and lift the Premier League title in front of their home fans.
Spurs, on the other hand, will have one eye on the first leg of the Europa League semifinal against Bodo/Glimt at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next Thursday.

The big decision Ange Postecoglou faces ahead of Sunday is regarding the degree of rotation.
While some Spurs fans would want to see the Australian rest all of his key players, others might feel that avoiding a heavy defeat has to be a priority ahead of the semifinal.
Sutton has said that he cannot see the Tottenham boss playing a strong side and expects the Reds to brush their opponents aside.
The former Celtic striker told BBC Sport: “Liverpool only need a point to make sure of the title, and it is going to happen against Tottenham on Sunday.
“There is an argument that Spurs, and Manchester United too, should go strong in these Premier League games to try to find the rhythm they have been lacking all season and get the team playing the way we know they can to help them in their Europa League semi-finals.
“But I don’t see Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou doing that before his side play Bodo/Glimt on Thursday, and I can only see one outcome. Liverpool have hardly been that sharp of late but they will be determined to win the title in front of their own fans for the first time in 35 years.
“They were not able to do that when they last won the title in 2020 because of the COVID regulations at the time, so doing it now is a big deal for them. I am expecting them to raise their game and blow Spurs away to get the job done.”
Score Prediction: Liverpool 4-1 Tottenham
Will Ange Postecoglou hand 45 minutes to some key players?
There has been a sufficient break between Tottenham’s clash against Forest and their trip to Anfield, which is why Postecoglou would be tempted to give some minutes to his key men to ensure they keep ticking along.
We saw him hand Crisitan Romero and Micky van de Ven 45 minutes against Forest, and he could do the same with a few key players against Liverpool.
However, psychologically, the Tottenham players will be looking over their shoulders at the Europa League semi-final, and many of them might not be too keen on going into full-blooded challenges at Anfield and risk picking up an injury.
