Red Sox-Guardians Opener Postponed, Doubleheader Date Set
The Boston Red Sox and the Cleveland Guardians will have to wait to start their three-game series.
The opener on Friday night at Progressive Field got postponed due to inclement weather in Cleveland. The Red Sox and Guardians will play a split-doubleheader on Saturday afternoon with first pitches set for 1:10 p.m. ET and 6:10 p.m. ET.
Tanner Houck and Ben Lively take the hill in Game 1 while Walker Buehler is set to take the ball for the Red Sox against Cleveland’s Logan Allen in Game 2.
Boston hopes to shake off a series loss at home to the Seattle Mariners while the Guardians continue their homestand after a series win over the New York Yankees.
Both games will air on NESN.
