Patriots Select Explosive Pass-Catcher With First Third-Round Pick
FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots got another weapon for Drake Maye, selecting wide receiver Kyle Williams with the 69th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Can you stop crying about the second-round pick now?
Williams is viewed as one of the most explosive pass catchers in this class, exploding onto the scene in his final collegiate season by finishing with 70 receptions for 1,198 yards and 14 touchdowns for Washington State. Williams also did himself a major favor by running a 4.40 forty-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.
Drake Maye will surely be a fan of the selection, as Williams becomes the third straight pick that was made as a way to support his desire to make explosive plays.
New England will be back on the clock at No. 77.
