QUEEN’S PARK FC are on the hunt for the southside’s latest GLASS act.
Last season we teamed up with club sponsors Buck’s Bar on Cathcart Road in a variety of partnerships.
And one of the most popular was the Design a Milkshake competition for young fans across our local school community.
The tasty treat dreamt up by Jude McLaughlin of St Fillan’s Primary School proved to be cream of the crop and the ideal accompaniment to the restaurant’s famous food.
– but the southside spot is the only place where you can take your pick from 50 hot sauces selected from around the world.
And this year the lip-smacking search is back with the re-launch of the competition.
Entry forms must include the two ingredients to be whipped up into a tasty drink, and the milkshake given a unique name.
Our panel – including Queen’s Park players, staff and representatives from Buck’s Bar will take a straw poll of opinion to decide who is flavour of the season and crowned the winner.
They will receive a Queen’s Park goodie bag and visit Buck’s to create their drink which will also appear on the iconic restaurant menu.
Not only that, their immediate family will be treated to a meal out to taste the creamy concoction and the winning pupil’s class teacher will also receive a meal voucher for the rock ‘n’ roll chicken restaurant.
All entries should include a milkshake name and ingredients, as well as the pupil’s name, age, school and class teacher.
As well as Buck’s Bar at 1021 Cathcart Road the eatery also has restaurants at West Regent Street and Trongate in Glasgow plus Grindlay Street and Hanover Street in Edinburgh.
Entry via email to tickets@queensparkfc.co.uk or handed in to Queen’s Park’s offices, JB McAlpine Pavilion, The city Stadium, Letherby Drive, Mount Florida, G42 9BA.
