DFC Girls’ Academy excitement ramps up!

0 3

The latest Dartford FC Girls’ Academy trial proved a huge success, last week.

An amazing 29 girls attended, with 25 now registering their intention to sign when it launches in September.

DFC is looking for the next generation of footballing talent to be part of its exciting new Girls’ Academy.

After the amazing progress in our boys’ Academy set-up over the past decade – which this season alone has seen a huge influx of players make the first team – the club is looking to expand its operations. It is hoped the new addition will open up a path-way to the Women’s first team, too.

DFC, in conjunction with education provider SCL, will provide girls with a two-year, full-time education course and day-time training, both taking place at our amazing stadium facilities, as well as mid-week matches.

Director Tony Burman said: “It’s a testament to where we are as a club to see so many girls interested in our new academy.

“We’ve had a fantastic response and we are looking forward to getting going after the summer.”
