Why Drake Maye’s Play Excites New Patriot Will Campbell
Will Campbell joins the New England Patriots with the primary responsibility to protect quarterback Drake Maye.
The franchise passer already expressed his excitement in his new left tackle and Campbell certainly reciprocated the praise as another staple on offense of the future for the Patriots.
“I’m super excited,” Campbell told reporters, per team-provided video. “He’s a heck of a player, a heck of a leader. He’s the commander of our offense. I’m not only excited to play with him but with the rest of the team. I’m excited for the future that we have in Foxboro. I think we’ve got a special season coming.”
The Patriots have two new tackles in Campbell and Morgan Moses to go along with offensive upgrades such as wide receiver Stefon Diggs. New England’s roster certainly went through major changes with head coach Mike Vrabel now leading the way.
The remainder of the draft Friday and Saturday could determine if New England can truly jump forward and sneak into the playoffs in 2025.
