Reid All About It – Loan report, April 19, 2025

QUEEN’S PARK recalled Milosz Sliwincki to the first-team pool last week, but there were plenty of other Spiders stars picking up match minutes on loan across Scotland.

The 17-year-old goalkeeper (pictured above) was drafted in on a  seven-day recall notice from Dumbarton as Calum Ferrie’s understudy at Hamilton.

He watched from the bench as Steven MacLean’s side held their hosts to a 0-0 draw which all but secures their spot in the William Hill Championship next season.

Magnus Mackenzie

Another loan star with an eye on the second tier next term is Magnus Mackenzie.

Fresh from his winning goal for loan side Alloa Athletic last week, the left wing-back hit his second in as many games in their 1-1 draw with Cove Rangers.

A point keeps the Wasps in the hunt for the fourth spot in League One and the last place in the promotion play-offs, with two games to go.

In League Two, Jamie Bradley played 77 minutes of Clyde’s 2-0 loss to Spartans and Ricky Waugh suffered the same scoreline playing for Stirling Albion against East Fife.

The pair had been part of Sean Crighton’s Reserve League winning Queen’s Park B side earlier in the week.

There was better news however for Stranraer where Lewis Reid and Sam Kane are among the ranks.

Keeper Kane was an unused substitute but Reid (pictured right) played the full 90 minutes as the Blues defeated play-off hopefuls Edinburgh City on Saturday.

Lewis Reid

In the Lowland League Alex Fairlie was denied a match by the weather with a waterlogged pitch in Dumbarton forcing Broomhill’s match with Civil Service Strollers to be postponed.

Further down the pyramid Archie Graham played for Darvel but the Ayrshire side lost 3-2 to Drumchapel United.
