Ange Postecoglou confirms Spurs man will get opportunities after impressing in training

Ange Postecoglou has revealed that one Tottenham man has looked excellent in training over recent weeks and confirmed that he will get his opportunities very soon.

At times this season, Tottenham’s injury situation was so bad that Postecoglou was even struggling to get eleven players out on the pitch.

However, the situation has now changed completely, with the Australian now nearly having a fully fit squad to choose from, with Heung-min Son and Radu Dragusin currently the only two players on the treatment table.

As a result, several players are eagerly waiting for their opportunity to show what they can do and Postecoglou has now assured one Spurs man that he will get his chance soon rather than later.

One would expect the Spurs boss to ring the changes for the clash against Nottingham Forest this afternoon, given the exertions of his players at Frankfurt last Thursday.

One of those who is waiting on the wings is Richarlison, and Postecoglou has now revealed that the Brazilian has looked very good in training since returning from his injury layoff.

Speaking ahead of his side’s clash against Forest, Postecoglou said (via Football.London): “Richy is another one who is going to get some game time in the next couple of games because he’s looking really good in training, but Dom’s been super important.”

It has been widely reported over the last few weeks that Richarlison is expected to be on his way out of Tottenham this summer.

The Brazilian’s fitness issues have prevented him from fulfilling his potential in North London, but he has a great opportunity to end his time at N17 with a bang.

If the 27-year-old can score a goal or two that help Tottenham clinch the Europa League, his legacy at Spurs will be assured for a long time.
