The Providence Bruins have two games remaining on their regular-season schedule before they begin their quest for a Calder Cup championship.

The Boston Bruins assigned forwards Fabian Lysell, Fraser Minten, John Farinacci and Vinni Lettieri and defenseman Frederic Brunet to its AHL affiliate in Providence, general manager Don Sweeney announced in a press release Wednesday. Boston also placed defenseman Ian Mitchell on waivers for the purpose of assignment to Providence.

As one of the Bruins’ highest-touted prospects, Lysell made his NHL debut in Boston’s shutout win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Dec. 28 and was reassigned to Providence the following day. Lysell returned to Boston for an extended opportunity to crack the lineup following the NHL trade deadline in March. He finished the 2024-25 campaign playing in 12 games with the big club, where he tallied one goal and two assists for three points while averaging just over 13 minutes of ice time. Lysell skated in 51 games with Providence this season, recording 11 goals and 23 assists for 34 points.

Lettieri also had extended time with the NHL club. He played in 26 games for Boston this season, notching three goals and two assists for five points. Lettieri registered more than a point per game in Providence this season by tallying 20 goals and 28 assists for 48 points across 46 games.

Minten, acquired at the trade deadline from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for defenseman Brandon Carlo, made his Bruins debut on April 6 against the Buffalo Sabres. He scored his first career goal donning the Spoked-B in Boston’s blowout win over the New Jersey Devils on April 8. He notched seven points in 10 games with Providence before joining Boston for the remainder of the regular season.

Farinacci made his NHL debut in Boston’s season finale against the Devils on April 15, recording a goal in the Bruins’ overtime loss. In 57 games with Providence, Farinacci has scored nine goals and 28 assists this season.

Brunet also made his NHL debut against the Devils, where he registered two shots on goal and one hit across 20 shifts and 14:23 ice time. In 68 games for Providence this season, Brunet tallied five goals and 19 assists.

Mitchell skated in 15 games with Boston this season, recording just one assist while averaging 15:36 ice time with the NHL club. He tallied four goals and 23 assists for 27 points across 46 games in Providence.
