Young Hibees Make Scotland Women's Under-16s Squad

0 4

Three Hibernian Girls Academy prospects have been selected for an upcoming Scotland Women's Under-16s triple-header.

Nichola Greig has chosen Hibs trio Jessica Ramsay, Isla Gourley and Ava Dunbar as part of her 22-strong squad.

The three matches are part of a UEFA Development tournament to be hosted in Wales. The hosts are one of the Scots' opponents alongside Denmark and Norway.

16-year-old midfielder Ramsay made her senior debut for Hibernian against Motherwell in March, coming off the bench in a 3-0 win at K-Park.

The youngster won praise from Hibs Women Head Coach Grant Scott and vice-captain Ellis Notley for her assured performance in the Club's second post-split fixture of the campaign.

Ava Dunbar and Isla Gourley are well-accustomed to travelling away on international duty, with the pair most recently flying to Spain for a tournament with the Under-17s.

The pair featured prominently in the Young Team's MIMA Cup competition in Murcia back in February.

Tournament Fixture Details:

Wednesday 23 April - Denmark v Scotland, 11am kick-off at Trefelin Park

Friday 25 April - Scotland v Norway, 11am kick-off at Trefelin Park

Monday 28 April - Wales v Scotland, 11am kick-off at Stebonheath Park
