Fabio Paratici spotted back at Tottenham Hotspur amid return rumours
As rumours continue to run rife over Fabio Paratici potentially returning to Tottenham in an official role this summer, a big development on Thursday suggests that a return to N17 could very much be on the cards for the Italian.
Paratici has continued working as a consultant for Tottenham Hotspur over the last two years since being forced to resign from his role as the club’s managing director of football.
Over the last couple of weeks, it has been widely reported that Daniel Levy is trying his best to bring Paratici back to Spurs in an official role.
Tottenham’s pursuit of the 52-year-old has been boosted over the last week since it emerged that AC Milan’s efforts to appoint Paratici as their sporting director have collapsed.
Huge Fabio Paratici development at Tottenham on Thursday
It is unclear if Levy is indeed in conversations with Paratici over a return to N17 or even what sort of role the Spurs chairman envisages for the Italian.
However, one thing that is clear is that the former Juventus director is still very much involved at Tottenham and retains a good relationship with the club.
The latest evidence of that came on Thursday as Paratici was spotted in a corporate box at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, watching the Lilywhites’ 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of their Europa League quarterfinal.
Paratici allegedly not allowed to return to Italy
The latest reports coming out of Italy suggest that Spurs could be in the driving seat to win the race for the 52-year-old.
This is because some journalists have alleged that Paratici is not being allowed to return to Italian football by the authorities, even though his ban is now about to elapse.
This potentially clears the path for Tottenham to bring him back to the club, although it remains to be seen how his appointment would affect the club’s technical director, Johan Lange.
