Tottenham star on verge of injury return, should be ready for Europa League quarters
Ange Postecoglou has received a very positive update regarding the fitness of one of his injured players as Tottenham face a huge couple of Europa League games which are likely to determine the Australian’s future at the club.
The days after the international break are always nervous ones for all clubs as well as supporters as we find out if any players have returned with any niggles.
So far, it does not seem as though Tottenham Hotspur have suffered any additional injuries. In fact, it appears that the squad may be boosted by the return of some injured players.
Richarlison was spotted training with the team a few days ago, and there has now been some very good news regarding the Brazilian.
Richarlison will be fit for Eintracht Frankfurt clash
The former Everton striker has been out of action since Tottenham’s Carabao Cup semifinal defeat at Anfield in early February.
However, The Daily Mail have now confirmed that the 27-year-old is now on the verge of returning to action, having made some good progress over recent weeks.
While the forward may not be fit for Tottenham’s upcoming London derby against Chelsea, he is expected to be back available for the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinal against Eintracht Frankfurt next week, thus handing Postecoglou a huge boost ahead of that crunch game.
Richarlison is desperate to contribute to Tottenham
Richarlison has endured terrible luck with injuries over the last couple of seasons, which have prevented him from building any sort of momentum or continuity.
The forward has made just nine Premier League appearances so far this season, the majority of them as a substitute.
The Mail state that Richarlison is ‘desperate’ to return from injury and help Tottenham have a strong end to the season. The striker believes that doing so would help his prospects of returning to the Brazil squad.
