So I'm looking for a cheap but reliable car for my lad. I'm thinking HYUNDAI, Kia, Toyota type cars which all fit the small engine, low insurance, low tax criteria. Anyway I've seen a Toyota Aygo advertised locally and am due to view it tomorrow. Mileage is low for year and it looks decent from pics. However I've checked the MOT history to verify mileage and a couple of things jump out.
It's done 5000 in last 3 years. Can't decide if this is good or bad?
It's failed 4 of last 6 MOT'S. On one hand at least I know these issues have been resolved. However does this show a lack of care / maintenance?
It's only a few grand so not expecting perfect but as it's my lads first car I don't want to get him a dud.
Any advice / opinions please.
