MLB Analyst Attaches Massive Label To Red Sox Before Opening Day

Include Keith Law among those who are incredibly high on the Red Sox entering the 2025 Major League Baseball season.

Law, one of the more respected analysts in the sport, shared a series of significant Boston predictions before the club’s Opening Day contest Thursday. In a column for The Athletic, Law projected Alex Cora and company to win the most games in the American League this season and ultimately represent the Junior Circuit in the World Series.

“I guess I’m late to the party, predicting the Red Sox to win their division (and, in this case, to have the best record in the league),” Law wrote. “They did more to upgrade their roster this winter than any other team in the American League, and they’ve made the right call at second base, giving Kristian Campbell the nod. On paper, I think they’re the best team in the AL, likely to lead or come close to leading the league in runs scored and be at or above the median in run prevention.”

“Best team in the AL” certainly is not a small designation, especially when you consider the powers in Boston’s own division. But games are not won on paper, and the new-look Red Sox now will try to maximize their revamped roster in a season filled with promise.
