U18s To Take On Queen’s Park

0 2

The wee Hibees return to league duty this Friday as they continue their post-split fixtures.

The game takes place at the Hibernian Training Centre on Friday (28 March, 2025), kicking off at 6pm.

THE LOWDOWN

Darren McGregor’s side currently sit second in the CAS U18 Elite League, two points behind leaders Rangers. Both sides have now played the same number of games.

Our youngsters’ post-split fixtures got off to a good start two weeks ago as they beat St Mirren 6-1 at HTC. Click here to read the match report.

THE OPPOSITION

Queen’s Park currently sit sixth in the U18 league with 21 points from 21 games.

They come into this match off the back of a 6-1 defeat to Rangers – their first post-split fixture.

Their last win in the CAS U18 Elite League came on Friday 28 February as they beat Dundee United 3-0 at home.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS

This will be the third time the two teams have met this season, with Hibs taking four points from those fixtures.

In the last outing, we drew 2-2 away from home against Queen’s Park. Darren McGregor’s side had to come from behind twice in the match to earn a share of the spoils at Lochinch Sports Complex.

Dean Cleland scored from the penalty spot, before Rory Whittaker showed great composure to equalise right at the end.

When the two sides met at HTC back in November, though, Hibs came out on top winning 2-0. Jamie McMurdo scored a brace on the night against a stubborn Queen’s Park side who defended well considering they played the majority of the match with 10 men.

HOW TO WATCH

The match kicks off at 6pm at HTC with supporters from both clubs welcome to come and watch free of charge.
