Tottenham have already started ‘groundwork’ on Premier League winger

0 8

Tottenham Hotspur are wasting no time ahead of the summer transfer window, with the North London club thought to have already begun working on a deal to sign their top attacking target.

There is no doubt that Spurs will need to make reinforcements to their forward line in the summer, irrespective of whether Mathys Tel makes a permanent switch to the club.

Timo Werner’s loan spell at N17 comes to an end this summer, while reports indicate that Richarlison is expected to exit Tottenham at the end of the campaign.

Various outlets have claimed over recent weeks that Spurs are keen on securing Southampton starlet Tyler Dibling, and a big update has now emerged on the Lilywhites’ pursuit of the winger.

Tottenham have begun working on Tyler Dibling deal

Even though we are almost three months away from the opening of the summer transfer window, GiveMeSport claim that Spurs have already begun working on a deal for Dibling.

The report reveals that the North London club are currently doing the groundwork to secure the 19-year-old this summer when Southampton’s relegation is confirmed.

The update claims that Tottenham are looking to ‘make a splash’ this summer, with Dibling being identified as one of their key targets.

Ange Postecoglou’s men are expected to persist with their strategy of bringing talented young players through the door, and they see Dibling as someone with the potential to evolve into a top-class player.

Tottenham face competition from Man United for Tyler Dibling

It was reported last week that Spurs will face competition from Man United for Dibling, with Rubem Amorim’s men also thought to be big fans of the Saints youngster.

However, the same update explained there are doubts if the Red Devils can compete with the level of financing that Tottenham can offer, given that they have announced expensive plans to redevelop Old Trafford.

It was suggested that Spurs may thus be well placed to secure a deal for the England Under-21 international ahead of the Manchester club.
