Tottenham fans will love what Yang Min-hyeok just said about his development

0 9

Yang Min-hyeok has opened up on how he is improving as a player at Queens Park Rangers, and the Tottenham winger made an admission ahead of his international debut for South Korea.

There was a bit of cynicism among some sections of the Tottenham Hotspur fan base when the club secured Yang last year.

Given that he had barely had a full season in the K-League at the time, many wondered if the signing was motivated by commercial reasons rather than solely footballing ones.

However, the 18-year-old has silenced his doubters since making a loan switch to QPR in January, showing exactly why many are excited about his potential.

Yang Min-hyeok reveals improvement from Tottenham loan

The Tottenham man is yet to find the back of the net for the Championship side but Yang has already produced some dazzling moments in a QPR shirt already.

The winger has quickly become a fan favourite at Loftus Road, with Yang already earning rave reviews from the local press.

The winger was called up to the South Korea side in light of his impressive form in West London and would have been hoping to make his senior bow. Fortunately, he was used off the bench in South Korea’s match against Jordan on Tuesday.

Yang has now admitted that he has become ‘stronger’ since his move to QPR.

Yang told KFATV: “It’s been a while since I’ve seen family and enjoyed Korean food, it was so good. I think I’ll be able to do better now that I am stronger. If the chance arises, I’ll do my best to become a player the team can rely on.”

What the QPR manager has said about Yang Min-hyeok

Tottenham fans will be excited about what Yang can do in the years to come, with the winger potentially eyeing challenging for a first-team spot at Spurs next season.

QPR manager Marti Cifuentes admitted that Yang has progressed well, talking very highly of the attributes that the teenager possesses.

Cifuentes said a few weeks ago about the Tottenham man: “He’s progressing, doing well. The last two games at home especially, he did well. The impact from the bench against Portsmouth was very positive.

“He’s growing, learning our way of playing and the pace of the game. He’s doing good things and is still a young lad who needs to keep learning and improving in some areas. His attitude is top. He is dangerous and has the pace to go forward, get in behind and go one vs one.”
