Tottenham ready to offer £30m after holding a meeting with Wolves this week
Tottenham Hotspur have expressed an interest in a Premier League full-back and they are currently thought to be leading two of their rivals in the race to land him this summer.
Spurs may need to enter the market for a left-back this summer, with Ben Davies’ current deal running out in June.
A few months ago, it emerged that Tottenham have set their sights on Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri, who has been extremely consistent at left-back as well as at left wing-back since arriving at the Molineux Stadium back in 2021.
Now a fresh report has suggested that the Lilywhites may face competition from two other Premier League sides for the Algeria international.
Tottenham are Rayan Ait-Nouri’s most likely destination
Africa Foot have now backed up Spurs’ interest in the Wolves man, revealing that the North London club have already contacted the Midlands side about a summer move for the defender.
However, it is explained that Ange Postecoglou’s men are far from alone, with Liverpool and West Ham also named as admirers of Rayan Ait-Nouri.
The report says that Tottenham’s ‘leaders’ have held a meeting with Wolves and have made it clear that they are ready to offer €35m (£29.2m) for the left-back.
As a result, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has emerged as the ‘most likely destination’ for Ait-Nouri ahead of both Anfield and the London Stadium.
Will Wolves cash in on Ait-Nouri?
The report points out that Ait-Nouri will enter the final year of his contract at Wolves this June, thus raising a question mark about his future at the club.
It is revealed that Vitor Pereira’s men have an option to extend the full-back’s deal until 2026.
However, this summer could be the final window where they can get a decent fee for Ait-Nouri, which is why they might be tempted to cash in on him.
