Dominic Solanke reveals what he does not want Tottenham to become
Dominic Solanke has made an admission about the feeling in the dressing room after Tottenham’s loss against Fulham on Sunday, and the striker also confessed that there is one thing he and his teammates are desperate to change.
Some cynics might look at the fact that Tottenham rotated their squad against Fulham and conclude that the club are not all that bothered by Premier League results and are putting all their focus on the Europa League instead.
However, the Spurs head coach refuted that claim in his post-match press conference, with Ange Postecoglou labelling Tottenham’s league record as unacceptable, and making it clear that there is no lack of desire to win.
Postecoglou will now have two weeks to ponder how to turn things around after the international break as only 13 players will remain at Hotspur Way over the next two weeks.

Dominic Solanke insists Tottenham were desperate to beat Fulham
Solanke has now backed up his manager’s claim, insisting that he and his teammates were desperate to build on their momentum by overcoming the Cottagers on Sunday.
The centre-forward admitted that Tottenham Hotspur’s lack of consistency is a major worry and that they need to find a solution to the problem swiftly.
The England striker told the club’s official website following the 2-0 loss to Fulham: “It’s a difficult one to take, we came here from the game in the week against AZ and wanted to try and build on that, build momentum, go on a bit of a streak, but we didn’t manage to do that.
“We pride ourselves on being a fit team that can run for the full 90 minutes, a lot of the time that works in our favour at the end of the games, but they scored first quite late in the game and that killed our momentum.
“We don’t want to be that team that’s great one day and then bad another day. We want to win every game, so we need to find that consistency.”
Tottenham cannot take their eye off the ball in the Premier League
There is a very real risk that the Spurs players might take their eye off the ball in the Premier League and put all their eggs in the Europa League basket.

They might not be doing it deliberately, but it would be a natural human tendency to let the motivation levels drop slightly subconsciously, given that they have nothing but pride to play for in the league.
At this level, a side only needs to be a few per cent off their A-game to struggle. The danger of letting the league season peter out is that it will put even more pressure on the side when they take to the field for the knockout Europa League fixtures.
