Tottenham half-time player ratings vs Fulham: 2/10 for dreadful midfielder

0 101

The first half of action has just come to a close between Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur at Craven Cottage.

Tottenham kept their season alive on Thursday with a 3-1 victory against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League which booked their passage through to the quarter final.

Back in December, Spurs drew 1-1 with Fulham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where Brennan Johnson’s goal was cancelled out by Tom Cairney, who was later sent off.

Ange Postecoglou’s side headed into the dressing room level at 0-0 after a really poor first half display where the midfield has especially struggled.

Below, we have given each Tottenham player a performance rating on a scale of 0-10, with 10 highest score achievable.

Here’s how the players rated:

Guglielmo Vicario – 6

A passenger.

Djed Spence – 5

Took a slight risk when he put both hands on Jimenez inside the box. Has had plenty to do with most of the play coming down his flank.

Cristian Romero – 6

Found himself outmuscled by Bassey, who easily shrugged him to the ground. Blocked a shot on goal from Iwobi.

Ben Davies – 5

Making his 350th appearance for Spurs today. Counting his lucky stars when he nearly gifted Fulham an equaliser when he tried to intercept a ball which was easily on its way to Vicario.

Destiny Udogie – 4

Back in the side and has been guilty of turning the ball over on more than one occasion.

Rodrigo Bentancur – 4

Asked to play in the advanced midfield role and has had little impact.

Yves Bissouma – 2

Given a chance to come back into the side ahead of the likes of Lucas Bergvall, his pass which went out of play sums up his performance. A likely second-half replacement.

Archie Gray – 6

A rare midfield start for the teenager, who has operated in the number six role.

Brennan Johnson – 3

Absolutely zero impact, Wilson Odobert must be frustrated to drop out of the team to witness this.

Dominic Solanke – 6

Has had a physical battle on his hands up against Bassey, no clear cut chances have come the striker’s way.

Mathys Tel – 5

Made a nice jinking run down the left on 20 minutes, but was unable to find Solanke in the middle.
