Reports from Italy have indicated that Fabio Paratici may be on the verge of making a fast return to football, which indicates that his relationship with Tottenham Hotspur could come to an end soon.

It has now been almost two years since the Italian resigned from his position as Tottenham’s managing director of football, but Paratici has continued to assist Spurs in a consultancy role during that time.

However, reports over recent weeks have indicated that Paratici has emerged as a contender to take over as AC Milan’s sporting director.

Now, a fresh update has shed light on what the former Tottenham director thinks about the interest from the Rossoneri as he plans his next steps.

Fabio Paratici is keen to get back into the game

A report in the print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness) has now revealed that the 52-year-old is keen on getting ‘back in the game’ quickly.

The outlet confirms that Milan indeed have shown interest in hiring Paratici and the Italian is thought to be interested in a move to the San Siro.

In fact, it is alleged that the former Spurs man is ‘desperate’ to compete for silverware and already has his eyes set on a potential managerial appointment.

According to the publication, Paratici tried to reunite with former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri at Tottenham and having failed to do so, he is now looking to do the same in Milan.

How could this impact Tottenham Hotspur?

Tottenham now have the likes of Scott Munn and Johan Lange calling the shots, with Daniel Levy having gone in a different direction over the past 18 months.

However, reports over recent months have indicated that Fabio Paratici’s contacts have come in handy for Tottenham in completing transfer deals over recent transfer windows.

The Italian ending his relationship with Tottenham would thus undoubtedly come as a blow to the North London club, particularly when it comes to negotiating deals.
