Buck’s Bar Sell Out Success to Support Funding Neuro
Buck’s Bar’s pop-up food stop at Bar 1867 proved a real winner ahead of the Ayr United match last week – even if the Honest Men nicked it on the pitch.
Our rock’n’roll restaurant neighbours on Cathcart Road brought a selection of their tasty chicken dishes to the supporters bar within The city Stadium on Tuesday night. All sold in the aid of Queen’s Park and Buck’s Bar charity partners Funding Neuro.
With the amazing backing we have come to know and love from Spiders supporters the pop-up SOLD OUT raising a phenomenal sum for the charity which specialises in treatment research of neurological conditions.
That sum has been DOUBLED with a matching donation from city Charitable Trust.
Funding Neuo Chief Executive Officer, David Mulligan said: “Thank you Queen’s Park FC, Bucks Bar and all the supporters of both teams for making the evening such a success. It was the first time a number of Funding Neuro supporters have been to a football match so to do so at the National Stadium was tremendous. Our thanks also go to our two mascots Moor and Ford for leading the teams out. We really hope that we can do this again”.
Managing Director of Buck’s Bar, Michael Bergson said: “We were so proud to be match sponsors for the game against Ayr United and delighted our pop-up at Bar 1867 was a huge success.
“Thank you to all amazing Queens Park supporters that came along to our Buck’s Bar pop up in bar 1867. They made sure it was a huge success as we completely sold out of fried chicken and tater tots. Kieran, Mhairi and the Queen’s Park staff were an absolute pleasure to work with and were really grateful for their efforts.”
Queen’s Park head of commercial Kieran Koszary added: “We were delighted to have Michael and his team on-site for the evening after their long-standing support of the club.
“To raise such a lot of money for a cause close to both Buck’s Bar and Queen’s Park was testament to the turnout from our fantastic Queen’s Park fans and we look forward to working with Michael and his team, and supporting more good causes in the future.”
