Watch: Luca Williams-Barnett worldie brace proves he is Tottenham’s next starlet
The Under-18 North London Derby at Hotspur Way over the weekend proved to be an extremely high-scoring affair, with Tottenham coming out victorious thanks to a Dan Casey hattrick and two world-class strikes from midfield maestro, Luca Williams-Barnett.
Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal’s Under-18s played out a 10-goal thriller, with the game swinging one way and another before the home side eventually came out 6-4 winners.
Luca Williams-Barnett has arguably been the standout player for Spurs’ Under-18 side this season, and the 16-year-old once again stood up for his side on Sunday.
His brace took his goal tally for the campaign to 16 goals in just 13 league appearances in Lilywhite.

Williams-Barnett’s first goal came in the 23rd minute of the game, with the goal putting Tottenham 2-1 up. It proved to be the perfect summary of the season he is having in 2024/25.
The teenager showed brilliant awareness to receive a pass on the half-turn before running at the Arsenal backline. When space opened up for him, Williams-Barnett unleashed a shot from around 30 yards out, which flew into the top corner.

Williams-Barnett then put the icing on the cake for his side with the final goal of the game in injury time, stepping up to curl a free-kick into the top corner from the edge of the box.

Another player who has been mightily impressive for Stuart Lewis’s side this season is forward Dan Casey, who showed his poacher’s instinct once again by netting a hattrick.
The versatile attacker has now found the back of the net 15 times in 13 matches in the U18 PL so far this season as he looks to chase down the tally of his teammate Williams-Barnett.
