NFL Draft Expert Gives Huge Update On DK Metcalf-Patriots Trade Rumors

The Patriots reportedly are willing to explore the trade market to acquire a No. 1 wide receiver, and one big name wants out of his team.

DK Metcalf reportedly requested a trade from the Seattle Seahawks. According to the Boston Herald, New England looked into trading for the Pro Bowl wideout, so it seems like a deal could happen.

That was a sentiment felt by a top NFL draft analyst.

“Everybody in the league thinks that DK Metcalf is going to New England,” NFL Media’s Daniel Jeremiah said on the “Pat McAfee Show” on Friday. “DK becomes available and you just talk to a bunch of buddies around the league. They’re like, ‘This just makes too much sense. They have all the money. They have all the space. They need a weapon.’ What are they picking, 38 or something like that? So second-round pick for DK Metcalf.”

That seems like a realistic offer the Patriots could entertain. However, there could be an issue regarding whether or not Metcalf wants to play in Foxboro, Mass. Money could change his mind, but the Seahawks also seem to be willing to offload their players after letting Tyler Lockett walk and reportedly trading Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Patriots also reportedly called about an A.J. Brown trade, so they seem committed to helping out Drake Maye in any way they can.
