Bay win in second half fightback

0 4

THE Seagulls produced a second half fightback after trailing 0-1 at half-time to beat Caersws 3-1 at the Four Cross Arena to maintain their four point lead at the top of the JD Cymru North table.

Goals from Craig Lindfield, Tommy Creamer and a Jamie Cumming penalty turned the game around as the Bay extended their unbeaten league run to 24 games.

Colwyn Bay couldn’t make the most of their first half chances with Josh Carey’s scuffed shot saved by the keeper when clear on goal and Jamie Cumming heading wide from a Cai Owen corner.

Sam Hart’s inswinging corner was also headed off the line, before Caersws were awarded a penalty shortly before half-time and Sam Phillips scored from the spot to put the visitors in front.

Nine minutes into the second half the Bay were level with a Craig Lindfield header from Ethan Roberts’ cross from the left and Linny also hit the bar with another header as Bay looked to turn the game their way.

An acrobatic effort from Rhys Nash was well saved by Caersws keeper Max Williams, who made another good save from Jamie Cummings before Bay took the lead 10 minutes from the end.

From Sam Hart’s corner Jame Cumming headed goalwards and Tommy Creamer got the final touch to turn it over the line.

Four minutes later Jamie Cumming was fouled in the area and picked himself up to score Bay’s third from the spot to secure another three points.
