Caley Gibb Signs On Loan

We are delighted to announce the loan signing of Caley Gibb until the end of the season from Partick Thistle subject to SFA clearance.

Caley has played an important role for Thistle this season, making 19 league appearances and scoring two goals.

A Hibs Girls Academy graduate, Caley made her senior debut under Grant Scott back in May 2019 versus Motherwell.

She then secured a move to Spartans that summer and played a crucial role in their advance to the Scottish Cup Semi-Final last season, before departing Ainslie Park to join Brian Graham’s Jags.

The 21-year-old has prior international experience, playing six times for the Scotland Under-19 side alongside many of her new teammates.

Caley joins up with the squad ahead of our final post-split fixture against Celtic at Meadowbank.

Caley will wear the number 19 shirt for Hibernian. 

On her move, Caley said: "I'm delighted to be here and to be given such a great opportunity. This is where I started, I got my SWPL debut at such a young age here through Grant. I'll always be grateful to the Club. 

"To get an opportunity now when I am more developed and feel more ready to take that bigger step, it is great. I'm hoping I can go and really help the girls finish as high as possible in the league.”

“She’s a talented and versatile player who will add valuable depth to the squad. We’re excited to see the impact she can make as we head into our final eleven SWPL matches.
