S14E42 SWNT Nations League February Review

Following two defeats for SWNT in the Women’s Nations League, Dave is joined by John Bl to pick over how the games against Austria and Netherlands went for Scotland.

With Emma Lawton coming in and getting the opening goal of against the Dutch, they consider if she’s now a mainstay, as well as wondering if Michael McArdle will still be the interim coach when the next set of fixtures come around in April. Longer term, there’s questions as to where the next manager will come from and if that might be further afield than Scotland once more.

Of course, after two defeats, there’s questions around the possible defensive frailties that led to the goals, especially in two narrow defeats in what could be a tight Nations League group.

Looking forward, the SWPL moves into its post-split phase and with four teams level on 51 points it’s an exciting final ten games ahead in terms of the title!

Thanks as always for listening!
