Red Sox Reveal Why Top Prospect Was Scratched From Spring Debut

The Red Sox caused somewhat of a stir on Friday, as they released but quickly amended their first lineup of spring training — with the second iteration scratching the top prospect in baseball. Boston went into somewhat of a frenzy after the news, with plenty of questions arising.
Why was he scratched? When will he be back? How could they tease us with Anthony, Kristian Campbell, Marcelo Mayer and Triston Casas at the top of the order?
Red Sox manager Alex Cora said the team wanted to be cautious as Anthony was scratched because he was sore after being hit by a pitch in his right elbow on Thursday, as relayed by Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic., as relayed by Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic.
