Tottenham Hotspur secures victory over Man United

On Sunday afternoon, Tottenham Hotspur recorded their ninth victory of the season with a 1-0 win over Manchester United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It was a match that saw five injured players return to the squad, while two were handed starts from the off by manager Ange Postecoglou.

James Maddison’s strike in the 13th minute of the game was enough for the Lilywhites to secure a Premier League double over the Red Devils this season.

Two Tottenham stars in Redknapp’s Team of the Week but no Maddison

Following the match, former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp exclusively revealed his Team of the Week with BetVictor.

His team includes two Spurs players: Guglielmo Vicario who made his first start since November 24 and Djed Spence who was the player of the match.

He wrote about the Tottenham duo: “Guglielmo Vicario was back in the Tottenham side after a couple of months out and I thought he did well against Manchester United. He made a few good saves; his use of the ball was excellent, and he gave that backline more composure and a very rare clean sheet!

“Djed Spence has been a revelation in recent weeks for Spurs. It sounds crazy but one of the few positives of all these injuries is that he’s gotten so much game time and has made this position his own.”

Djed Spence receives recognition from pundits

Djed Spence’s performance against Manchester United on Sunday, has since garnered attention from pundits and fans alike.

Tottenham fans were very pleased with the full-back’s display and were all in agreement that he was the best player on the pitch.

The 24-year-old has also made it into Alan Shearer’s team of the week as well – the former Premier League forward included him in a two-man defence.
