Tottenham vs Man United score predictions: Gary Neville and Roy Keane show some bias
Gary Neville and Roy Keane have made their score predictions for the Spurs vs Man United clash set to take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
A difficult week for Tottenham Hotspur
The last week was a difficult one for Tottenham Hotspur who had to endure two defeats in domestic cup competitions against Liverpool and Aston Villa respectively.
This saw the Lilywhites who had a slender advantage in the first leg of the semi-final of the Carabao Cup, crash out after Liverpool thumped them 4-0.
Aston Villa added to Postecoglou’s misery when the N17 club visited Villa Park last Sunday for an FA Cup tie and suffered a 2-1 defeat.
Since then, Spurs have had a week off and have been handed a significant boost as several injured stars are now in contention for this weekend’s clash against Manchester United.
Gary Neville and Roy Keane predict Tottenham vs Man United in the Premier League
The Red Devils themselves, have struggled this season. Coming into the clash against Spurs, Ruben Amorim’s men have managed just two wins in their last five League outings.
Although they were victorious over Leicester City in the FA Cup, the Manchester club will be hoping to carry that FA Cup form into the League.
Former Manchester United players Gary Neville and Roy Keane, have now shared their predictions on how they see this tie panning out.
On the recent episode of the Overlap Podcast, the pair said: “I think United win. 2-1 United,” Neville said Keane added a witty remark about the home team’s injury problems, joking: “Have Spurs got their players back? Is (James) Maddison back?” But the former United captain finally also settled on an away win. “I’m going to go United. 3-1 United,” he said.
Spurs players return but Roy Keane is not convinced
While fans of Tottenham Hotspur view the return of their injured players as a major boost, Roy Keane is adamant that their return will turn Spurs fortunes around.
He said: “My only thing with Ange is he mentioned they have no midweek games for a couple of weeks,’ he said. “But it’s not like you can just get a magic wand out on the training pitch and all of a sudden they make the players better.
“What happens if United go and beat them next week when they’ve a full week of and players back? Then they will definitely be looking at the manager.”
