After coming on as a substitute on three occasions, Yang Min-hyeok was handed his first start for Queens Park Rangers on Friday night, and the Tottenham man did not fail to deliver. The South Korean starlet picked up an impressive assist to send the home side on their way to a comfortable win.
Yang Min-hyeok shows promising signs in the Championship
Yang has had a whirlwind few months, first making the move over to Spurs back in December on the back of his impressive K-League debut season.
The 18-year-old was then shipped out on loan to QPR in the latter stages of the January window, with the pacy wide-man currently getting his first taste of senior English football.
The youngster has impressed in his cameos of the bench over recent weeks, which is why manager Marti Cifuentes gave him the nod to start against Derby County on Friday.

The on-loan Tottenham man started on the right side of QPR’s 4-2-3-1 system, and he was a livewire all game, trying to drive at the opposition with the ball and tracking back to his share of defensive work.
Yang got 63 minutes under his belt before making way for Paul Smyth, but not before he made a telling contribution.
On 57 minutes, the teenager produced an impressive touch to get around the defender before picking out Ilias Chair, who turned the ball home to score his second and QPR’s third goal.

The assist will serve as a huge boost to Yang’s confidence
The South Korean would have likely had a bit of a culture shock in his first few weeks at QPR as the physicality and intensity of Championship football is nothing like what he has been used to.
However, this assist should hopefully help settle his nerves and serve as confirmation that he is good enough to make telling contributions at this level.
The teenager should keep his place in the QPR side after this performance and Spurs will be hoping that the youngster gets a regular run in the side over the next few months.
