Spurs fans are rising against the ownership

Tottenham fans have not hidden their anger at the decisions that have been made by the hierarchy over recent years, with many seeing Levy as responsible for the team’s current predicament.

Chants calling for Levy and majority shareholders, ENIC, to leave have been a regular occurrence over recent matches, and the supporters have even planned a sit-in protest ahead of Sunday’s clash against Manchester United.

A new update has now revealed how the Tottenham chairman feels about the rising anger against him and what he thinks about his own future with the club.

Daniel Levy is willing to step away from Tottenham

BBC Sport now claim to have spoken to several people at Tottenham both on and off the record to get a glimpse into how Levy is feeling about the criticism he has been getting.

The report claims that the Tottenham supremo is ‘hurting’ due to the protests and has decided to sit through the ‘Levy out’ chants rather than hide away.

It is asserted that the 62-year-old is ready to step aside from the club that he has been in charge of for over two decades if he feels it is the right move for Spurs. According to this update, Levy feels that “every option is open” right now.

What Levy thinks about Tottenham’s transfer activity

BBC Sport also explains that the Spurs chief accepts Tottenham have not always spent wisely in the transfer market.

However, contrary to some of the criticism aimed at him and the club, he believes that recent managers, including Ange Postecoglou, have been backed financially.

The publication adds that the Spurs leadership are of the opinion that they have come very close to winning more than just the 2008 League Cup in the Levy/ENIC era as they have reached 15 semifinals and six finals, only to consistently fall at the final hurdles.
