Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a move for a former Premier League striker, who has been scoring goals for fun this campaign in the Serie A.

Spurs managed to add more firepower to their frontline with the acquisition of Mathys Tel in January, and the Frenchman netted his first goal for the Lilywhites in their 2-1 FA Cup loss to Aston Villa on Sunday.

While Tottenham will be hoping that they can secure the 19-year-old permanently in the summer, reports indicate that they want to make further additions upfront.

This update came a week ago from The Athletic, who asserted that Ange Postecoglou’s men are prioritising singing an elite forward in the summer, who can take some of the goalscoring burden off Dominic Solanke.

Tottenham eyeing a move for Moise Kean

A fresh update from Calciomercato has claimed that Tottenham are now plotting a move for former Everton striker Moise Kean.

The 24-year-old has been unstoppable in front of goal since making the move from Juventus to Fiorentina last summer, having found the back of the net 19 times across all competitions so far this season.

His impressive displays for Viola have not just got the attention of Spurs, but also of Aston Villa. However, it is explained that the interest of the two Premier League sides is only at the ‘evaluation phase’ at the moment.

How realistic is a summer transfer for Moise Kean?

The report explains that although the Premier League would be an attractive destination for Kean, the possibility of the striker staying in Fiorentina cannot be ruled out completely.

This is because the Italian international is currently fully focused on improving his own game and on having a strong end to the season.

However, it is revealed that the striker’s contract with Fiorentina has a release clause of €52m (£43.3m) which becomes active in July.
