Squad
Now that there is, finally, some clear water between us and the chasers, I was reflecting on what we have been predicting for some time… That the strength and depth of our squad would in itself make it incredibly difficult for the others to keep up with us.
I think we are now seeing that.
All teams are suffering from injuries and suspensions at this time of the season, but we have been able to replace our missing bodies with players who are also very much up to the task.
Makes me realise what a cracking job was done in the summer, and indeed that the January window gave us just what we needed to plug the minor gaps that were emerging in terms of cover.
Dangerous to make predictions always, but I do feel it is now in the bag.
