Patrick Mahomes Reveals How Taylor Swift Made His Daughter Sterling Finally Like Football
Despite being the daughter of Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes, Sterling Mahomes wasn’t the biggest football fanatic; at least, until Taylor Swift came along.
That’s right, ahead of the Super Bowl, Patrick talked at a conference, per KMBC 9 News, about football, Swift, and his family. Amid this conference, he said that “Taylor being at all the games has been awesome,” and has truly influenced the younger generations.
“It’s been awesome to showcase her bringing light to the sport that I love and getting little girls like my daughter into it and watching the game,” he said. “…So it’s just cool to see how football can bring people together from every aspect of life.”
Isn’t that so sweet?! We know that Swift and Sterling are pals, but this just shows how much Sterling looks up to her papa’s pal!
Along with watching football together, Sterling and Swift actually bake together. “She’s made different treats, like muffins and donuts and stuff like that,” Mahomes said on The Drive with Carrington Harrison podcast via Marca. “Sterling’s a big baker as well, so they make some stuff together sometimes. I’m not gonna say I don’t eat them. She’s as good as everyone’s talked about. She’s as great as it comes to baking.”
For those who don’t know, Brittany and Patrick have been together since high school and married on March 12, 2022. They have three children together named Sterling Skye, born in Feb 2021, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon, born in Nov 2022, and Golden Raye, born on Jan 2025.
In case you missed it, they announced they welcomed their third child, a daughter named Golden Raye on Jan 12, 2025. They shared an Instagram post with the caption reading, “Golden Raye Mahomes•

In a previous interview with SheKnows, Brittany talked about how much she adores motherhood, and how she loves experiencing those first moments with her and Patrick’s two kids.
“Oh my goodness, I love being a mom,” she said. “I think I’ve been called to be a mom ever since I was little. Just seeing my kids grow up, and the things that they’re learning, and the things that they’re taking from their dad … when we have first experiences with them, taking them somewhere, seeing them happy and lit up and in good spirits when we do stuff, is probably the biggest thing that I enjoy.”
