Loan Move For Shannon Leishman
Hibernian Women defender Shannon Leishman will join Motherwell on loan for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign.
Leishman made her Hibs debut in 2014 and has gone on to make 171 appearances to date. The 28-year-old has won four domestic cups with the Hibees and has scored 11 goals during her lengthy tenure at the club.
The versatile full-back has made nine appearances this season, including two starts, after penning a new one-year deal in the summer.
Leishy will now link up with Motherwell until the end of the season. Paul Brownlie’s side currently sit sixth-place in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League.
Hibs Women Head Coach Grant Scott commented: "Shannon has been a dedicated player for us over the years, due to the squad’s form, she has had limited game time this season. This loan move to Motherwell is a great opportunity for Shannon to gain valuable game time in a competitive environment.
I appreciate Paul Brownlie's cooperation in making this move happen and wish Motherwell all the best for the remainder of the season."
