Preview: Aberdeen (H)
We return to William Hill Premiership action this week as we host Aberdeen at Easter Road – read the full match preview below!
Fixtures
- Hibernian Vs. Aberdeen - Sat, Feb 1st 2025, 15:00
THE LOWDOWN
We start a busy month of February with a home fixture with Aberdeen; kick-off at 3pm on Saturday 5 February.
The Hibees come into this one off the back of a nine-match unbeaten run (all comps). That run form has seen us progress to the Fifth Round of the Scottish Cup and climb into the top-half of the table.
We currently sit sixth in the table, five points behind Saturday’s visitors, Aberdeen.
TEAM NEWS
David Gray welcomed back Nicky Cadden to his First Team squad for last week’s trip to Dingwall.
Kieron Bowie and Mykola Kuharevich both returned to the matchday squad – however, this game will come too soon for Elie Youan, Joe Newell and Marvin Ekpiteta who are all working their way back from injury.
Gray will provide a full injury update when he speaks to the media on Friday afternoon.
THE VISITORS
Aberdeen currently sit fourth in the William Hill Premiership table. After an impressive start to the season, The Dons have struggled in recent months and are winless in their last 13 league matches.
This season, we have taken four points off Aberdeen. Rocky Bushiri scored a last-minute equaliser to rescue a point back in November before we won away at Pittodrie before Christmas.
The Hibees came from behind with Elie Youan, Nicky Cadden and Martin Boyle all on target in a 3-1 victory last time out.
