Saudi Arabia announces first women’s football sponsorship
January 28 – The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) has unveiled a three-year partnership with Unilever’s Rexona, marking the first-ever official sponsorship of the Kingdom’s women’s national football programme.
Since the establishment of the Saudi Arabia Women’s National Team in 2021, of which Saudi hardly jumped the gun, a full collection of women’s national teams have been developed and the SAFF Women’s Premier League launched in 2022.
Meanwhile, Rexona has steadily strengthened its ties to the sport to include partnerships with FIFA and the Women’s World Cup,
