Ex-Patriots Defender Thrilled With First-Career Pro Bowl Selection
Kyle Van Noy won two championships with the New England Patriots, though he just earned his first-ever Pro Bowl selection with the Baltimore Ravens.
The veteran linebacker got the nod Thursday to replace injured Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher T.J. Watt. Van Noy added production and leadership to the Ravens’ defense that advanced to the AFC Divisional round before losing to the Buffalo Bills.
Van Noy tallied 41 tackles on the season but made his impact as a pass-rusher off the edge. He also tallied 12.5 sacks, the first time in his career that he eclipsed double-digit sacks in his 11 years in the NFL.
“Pro Bowl KV!” Van Noy posted to X on Thursday.
Van Noy earned rings with victories in Super Bowl LI and Super Bowl LIII for the Patriots as a contributing addition to the defense in Bill Belichick’s system. He also returned to the Patriots for the 2021 season.
