Bruins’ David Pastrnak Showing ‘Confidence’ Playing With This Teammate

Much has been made lately about who is playing on the same line as Boston Bruins star David Pastrnak.

But it looks like the Bruins have found something with Pastrnak playing alongside Pavel Zacha.

After a slow start to the season, Pastrnak looks like his All-Star self again. The superb winger has nine goals, including a tally in four straight games, to go along with six assists for 15 points in the last eight contests. Zacha has done his part, too, with nine points over that same span.

During the latest episode of NESN’s “Hockey Hub” podcast, Adam Pellerin and Dale Arnold discussed the duo hitting their stride together.

“The Bruins like to deal with pairs more than line combinations,” Arnold said. “They like Zacha and Pastrnak together. They apparently like being together and the play of both guys I think shows it. And Pasta is a guy, call it confidence, call it whatever you want, he knows now what he’s going to do with the puck before he gets it, and it’s showing.”

Morgan Geekie also benefitted from being on the same line as Pastrnak and Zacha. Geekie owns 11 goals on the season — he had just two tallies the first two months of the season — which is tied for fourth-most on the Bruins.

Pastrnak, Zacha and Geekie will all look to continue to be an offensive catalyst for the Bruins as they try to earn a playoff spot over the second half of the season.
