What Jayden Daniels Asked Tom Brady After Commanders’ Upset
Jayden Daniels claimed more than a trip to the NFC Championship Game by leading the Commanders to a win Saturday night.
Daniels was excellent in Washington’s shocking 45-31 win at Detroit’s Ford Field. The rookie quarterback completed 22 of 31 pass attempts for 299 with two touchdowns while adding 51 rushing yards on 16 carries against the top-seeded Lions.
For his efforts, Daniels was named the LFG Player of the Game, an honor handed out by Tom Brady after every contest the legendary quarterback covers for FOX. The charismatic Daniels chopped it up with Brady after the game, and the 24-year-old tried to pull a fast one on the seven-time Super Bowl champion by asking him what LFG stands for.
“It’s inappropriate,” Brady told Daniels. “This is a family-friendly program.”
Brady will have a front-row seat to Daniels’ next performance Sunday when the sixth-seeded Commanders battle for the opportunity to represent the NFC in Super Bowl LIX. Washington will visit either the Los Angeles Rams or the Philadelphia Eagles, who will meet for a divisional round tilt Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.
