Dean Windass

0 0
Very sad.

Former Bradford striker Dean Windass (father of Sheffield Wednesday striker Josh) has confirmed his stage 2 dementia diagnosis after giving former Manchester United defender David May permission to bring it up on the BBC today.

Dean is only 55.

It was part of a wider discussion on the impact of heading a football and the possible increase in the liklihood of a person developing dementia.

Numerous former players have sadly been diagnosed and ultimately died from it.

But Dean is significantly younger than many of them with most past cases players who played in the 60s and 70s.

Dean shows it is a problem in more modern times as well, he only retired in 2009.

God bless him these are his responses after it was revealed
